Cerba Research presented a new poster at ESMO 2024 showcasing the power of artificial intelligence (AI) in improving Ki-67 scoring for breast cancer. The study compared AI-driven image analysis with traditional pathologist scoring and found that the AI model achieved strong correlation (r² > 0.9) with human experts while dramatically reducing analysis time from over 20 hours to under 3 hours. These findings demonstrate that AI can deliver accurate, consistent, and efficient Ki-67 quantification, helping to minimize variability and accelerate biomarker evaluation in breast cancer research.
